Acts I'd love to see with Frankie Gavin

Acts I'd love to see with Frankie Gavin

Here's a list of some of the acts I'd love to see Frankie playing with, instead of this new group going under the title De Dannan:

Frankie Gavin and the Supremes
Frankie Gavin and the Jackson 4
Run DMC Vs. Frankie Gavin
Frankie Gavin and the Bachelors
Pussycat Dolls featuring Frankie Gavin
Frankie Gavin with Wings
Frankie and the Crankies
The Scissor Sisters with Frankie Gavin
Frankie Gavin and the Harlem Globetrotters
Frankie Gavin and the Territorials

Please feel free to add to the list. Would be interested in what other groups people would like to see Frankie in.

Re: Acts I'd love to see with Frankie Gavin

I'm surprised nobody has suggested any unnatural ones... acts, that is... or maybe some did, and the web pixies already made those posts vanish?

In truth (and to belabor the obvious), I'm disappointed to hear about catfights over who owns the name of an Irish trad group. That sort of thing just seems beneath the dignity of good trad players, and belongs more in the world of posturing, egocentric rock stars.

Re: Acts I'd love to see with Frankie Gavin

Posturing, egocentric trad stars! That's FG to a T!

He should have called his band "Frankie goes to lick Dubya's arse".

Frankie and Dolly's crossover bluegrass/country/ Irish trad. effort:

Frankie Goes to Dollywood.

...could happen (I actually really hope it does now).

Regards,

Harry.

Re: Acts I'd love to see with Frankie Gavin

Well, the faux and incorrect German would suggest this but who can say?

If he is then he's not by himself on these boards.

# Posted on August 11th 2009 by biggus dave

~

So the answer is c) maybe

Only #58151 can tell you that!

But such thoughts often cross my mind so I thought I would chip in.

Gratuitous I know but there we are.
