Where can I find the lyrics of **The Piper and the Maker** that I heard for the first time yesterday sung by Christa Burch (from the recording Love of the Land).
As a native French speaker, who has been living in the US for the last 8 years, I am still working on my linguistic skills, which explains that I was in need of help.
The Irish and Scottish ballads have been to me, for the last two years, a very inspiring source of happiness.
**The Piper and the Maker** immediately stands out as a beautifully polished jewel, and now, thanks to you, I can appreciate it through and through.
It should be pointed out that this song was written - jointly, I believe - by Dave Francis and Mairi Campbell, residents of Edinburgh, who perform together as "The Cast". They have also recorded it, on their CD "Colours of Lichen", which shouldn't be too hard to find. I'd recommend Mairi's singing of it to you.

Re: The Piper and the Maker
While she hasn't posted those lyrics to her page yet, they are pretty clear if you listen to it on her CD.
