I recently heard a lovely recording of Eileen Ivers and John Whelan i(I think) playing a set of reels.
The Red Haired Lass
Paddy O Briens
The Scholar
I have the notes for the Red Haired Lass and the Scholar but not for that particular Paddy O Briens.I found the recording in the recording area of The Session and the contents of the album but the link to the Paddy O Briens tune is for a slip jig!!
The others are correct so it is just that one...
Can anyone help as it really was a lovel set and one i would love to learn properly...thanks in advance for any help
Reelyconkored, may I suggest that if you want to learn the way Eileen I, & John W play those tunes, then you should just use your ears. If there are bits that you can't pick up, like a sequence of notes, try slowing down software to help you.
The written-down notes may have very little resemblance to the way they play. It certainly won't have their variations in it.

Can't find the recording at the moment, but I'm pretty sure it's one of those 3 - all are worth learning, anyway.

Ears are best.
Good luck.
