Did you get a spiffy new keyed flute, Will? (drool, drool... :-) )

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

Nope, just raising money toward a new flute (and paying off medical bills--I broke my leg on March 16 this year, and the surgeon's invoices are coming due).

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

So glad I live in NZ. We have a better medical system including Accident Compensation (rather mis-used).
Flute sounds nice but I have no spare dollars.

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

Sorry to hear about your injury, Will. :-( Hopefully it at least happened at the end of a a bluebird spring-skiing day at Big Sky? :-D

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

LOL, I wish. Instead, it was stepping into a pothole while out for a jog (doing the old man shuffle) on the neighborhood streets. I did St. Paddy's Day gigs the next day with my leg propped up on pillows, swallowing painkillers. Yay.

My insurance covered most of it, but the co-pay still adds up, especially after having a steel plate and seven screws installed. And 3 months of physical therapy....

OW! Sorry to hear that.

We are not made of rubber anymore, eh?

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

I've played the flute that Will is selling.

It has this rich reedy dark tone. It is not a power session breaker flute like an Olwell or timid like a R&R.

In wine terms, it is strong but colorful, with a slightly oaky aftertaste, perky and complex, but not agressive.

And no, Will did not pay me to say this. Well, he did pay me, but it was in blood.

Re: Keyless Hammy Flute for Sale

Yeh, this Hammy can hold it's own at a session, but it also has a creamy, dark chocolate tone that's just beautiful. Hard to part with, but I have other priorities....

In case it wasn't clear -- the flute is quite fine and well worth the price 8-)

The flute has sold and is happy being played by a new owner.
