...if it is a real Lynch set. Some of the pakistani makers have copied the external appearance of his pipes but got the bore and reed designs all wrong.
It looks genuine enough but for pipes (or any instrument you are going to spend a lot of money on) tbh I think you would need to play it yourself to know, or at the very least hear something played on it. It's a lot of money (or maybe not for you I don't know). It could be class, but also could be totally fake, like anything on the internet. The guy only has 6 feedback, and most of the feedback is from his buys and a couple of sells. He may be fine etc but I got stung v bad a few years ago with a laptop deal with a very similar looking deal. Definitely ask for sound clips or something before you buy, definitely contact the seller before bid anyway. If you think you can trust and afford, worth a punt. The pic looks good anyway. But it could be a pic of anything tbh..
optimistically speaking-
it is exactly what the seller claims and is a very nice instrument for a beginner, good bag $8oo tops nice deal
cynically speaking-
as a friend once told me, "never buy anything off E-Bay that you can't go and look at first..."

Re: recommendation on a kirk lynch practice set?
Why don't you just ask Kirk about the set? He might have some insight for you: http://www.kirklynch.com/contact.htm
