hi im doin da leinster fleadh dis year........ its da first time i've ever done da fleadh nd i havent been playin for long
i was so nervous dat i was litrally shaking before da county fleadh.......
could ny one give me some advice or some help plz....... i need all i can get
oh, I also forgot to say good luck. You will be fine, just take your time, don't rush through the tunes. maybe don't listen to the other competitors on before you. That can sometimes be offputting.
Practise, practise & more practice. And if you're new to competing you're best off play 1st before hearing anyone else, can be a bit daunting trying to play after someone puts in a great performance!
hello gemma i play d banjo you probly find
you hand tenses up in ur competition i was told
to go an play like u were playin at home an just relax
if u tink of this way the are there they havn't seen u play
before so they want to hear the best u can do so just go
in an do dat dats al ya can do. relax watever way u feel comfortable
Why are you putting yourself through all this pressure. Does winning something make you a better player or will it get you a job playing with a world famous trad group...of course it won't.. Sit back, play the music, and enjoy the company of fellow performers. That is what playing traditional music is all about.
i didnt get threw but it doesnt matter. i was very good. i never cn as many sesions goin on at da 1 time. i dont tink i'll 4get dat weekend 4 a long time. over all it woz brilliant craic!!!!
leinster fleadh, help!!!!!

Re: leinster fleadh, help!!!!!
Learn your tunes, practise them over and over and practise them in the order you intend to play them on the day. Which tunes are you playing?
