Does anyone know the tune Dublin Airport by another name? It's listed here in the recordings but I can't find anything about that recording or the tune after a google search. I know it from a Liam O'Connor CD but I'm looking for the music since I know I don't have it right.
When standing in the customs line of doom -- and it is worse at Dublin Airport than pretty much everywhere else I have ever been -- I have a lot of names for Dublin Airport that would cause Jeremy's swear word filter to overload.
Dublin Airport is a waltz written by fiddle player Mairin Fahy. She recorded it on her album "The Reel Thing" which doesnt seem to be on the database here - I think it might only have been released in NZ/Australia when she was touring with Riverdance.
Last time I went into Dublin the lass marshalling the Immigration queues took one look at my non-EU passport and said "Far queue" waving me over to the left.
"And a hundred thousand welcomes to you as well" I muttered
Last time I was in Dublin Airport I was ready to marry someone from their EU passport, as all the EU people zipped through the non-existent customs queue, while everyone with a non-EU passport, meaning the 8784932469324 Americans and Canadians who flood into Dublin, had to stand in this horrible, sluggish, queue for more than an hour.
Another name for Dublin Airport?

Re: Another name for Dublin Airport?
Re the non-EU queue;
wasn't this all first documented in the '30s', in some book called "EU and Non-EU" ?
Obviously the EUs are much better.
