The Session >> Discussions >> Good Jigs!!
Hi, i'm playing in the Munster Fleadh this summer and I'm looking for a good tune. Anyone out there that knows any great jigs, or some rare ones? Reply back quick if possible, I will have to practise. Thanks a lot everyone.

Gallagher's frolics followed by out on the ocean. Minor to major. The second has a nice lift to it so they will be clapping along as you finish

Kitty Got a Clinking Going to the Fair - otherwise known as Munster Bacon. Might as well suck up to the judges, plus it is a great tune.

How about an Ed Reavey jig: Packey's Place or Castleblaney Piper or Munster Grass (hornpipe). The judges always like Reavey tunes.
