Thanks for posting this! Some of my favorite fiddle music comes from London, the likes of Brian Rooney, Kevin Burke, & John Carty, to name but a few. But perhaps my all time favorite is easily Mairtin Byrnes, a man whose music can be heard in the playing of any of the fiddlers I just mentioned. His playing gives me goosebumps, in the best way possible! It makes me want to put his photo on a T-shirt with the words "SOUL BROTHER No. 1" , because his playing is "funky, like James Brown" as my friend Brad Maloney once said. Anybody Know where one could get some photos of the man? Just curious...

He recorded a solo lp many years ago which is now available on CD .Its absolutely excellent as you might expect.
