Kathleen plays piano for Cherish the Ladies.
Joanie played here in Billings a year and a half ago. I had a chance to visit with her after the concert, since my wife and I were a sponser. If you ever get a chance to visit, take it. She is charming and one of the funnest people that I have had the pleasure to meet. The concert was the best. Cannot wait till we can see her again. I think that she is playing in Butte, MT this summer and we have plans to go.
Joannie will be in Butte, but not for An Ri Ra. Someone cobbled together a band of her, Brian Conway, Billy McComiskey, and Brendan Dolan, calling themselves the Pride of New York. They'll be at the National Folk Festival in Butte, July 11 and 12 I think. And it's free.
So Cherish the Ladies came to SW FL for St. P's Day. My buddy the fluter/whistlemaker got to go to their gig and give Joanie one of his whistles while I wasplaying a gig, and all I got was this lousy blog post:
Hey Will..thanks for the info. My sister (who lives there) said, "Are you sure she's not playing the Folk Festival??" which she was a beer volunteer @ last year and said it was absolutely awesome and much better than An Ri Ra...(though I thought An Ri Ra was great last year). Well, I will have to make a trip out for that

A force of nature, it is no wonder her band mates turn over frequently, she wears 'em all out....

He's doing very well, that was quite clever.
