This is a high quality fiddle lost/left behind around dame court in Dublin city centre. This happened outside the stags head and dame tavern (No drink had been consumed). This occurred around 3pm yesterday May 7th. ANY info would be greatly appreciated. I cannot stress enough, this is a really top class fiddle. If anyone hears of anything, please let me know,
Regards.
Photo? any obvious marks?, check the buyandsell and go to all music shops and second-hand dealers fast as a starting point. also walk the area and check behind walls etc, a friend's banjo was stolen out of his car in Dublin and it turned up thrown at the bottom of a tower of flats undamaged!
Its a large black Double case with a shoulder strap.
Inside is 1 Fiddle with 4 bows.
Its a dark colour fiddle, with a blue velvet cloth covering it. Also in the case is a green little bag with leads and a pre-amp etc.
Thanks again for any help
Regards
Piperman, does it have a label on the inside with the name of the maker or the year it was made ? Form and colour of the tailpiece (finetuners, how many, built in or not) and chinrest?
