Re: Mick O'Connor banjo player

Mick will be playing and teaching at the French festival of traditional Irish music at Tocane St. Apre, (near Bordeaux, nearer to Périgeux, Ryanair to Berjerac) from 19 to 22 July.

Although the festival begins on the Sunday, there are usually sessions in the village from the Friday night. Mick is arriving on the Saturday.

Re: Mick O'Connor banjo player

Mick O'Connor, one of my very favourite banjo players. Only equaled (and on a different level because they play different styles) are Brian Fitzgerald and Paraic Mac Donnchadha.

Re: Mick O'Connor banjo player

Oh, I forgot about Sean Casey. Quite a similar style to Paraic Mac Donnchadha. Coincidently, both of those players have played with Conor Tully.

Does Sean play fiddle mostly these days, or is that a different Sean Casey?
