Are there any health worries about having the right fingers straight? I find it far easier to play and I find I can manoever and play faster like that.
No, no problem. I find completely straight too inflexible for me, but that is how piper's like to play. I, personally, play with a very slight curve in my fingers - basically the same as when my hand lies relaxed on the table. Keeping the wrist straightish is also a good idea though if you want to avoid RSI and carpal tunnel...
