Recently I saw a longish headline about the alarming fact that the NHS was running short of replacement organs for transplants because so many of these were being used to give to heavy drinkers - maybe for the second or third time round. The last words of the headline were -
ORGANS FOR DRINKERS
...which I propose as possible band name no. 1.
My second suggestion is:
PREDICTORS OF BEACONICITY,
which is an absurd bit of Quango, the opaque and fluffy language of Regional Development Agencies and the legions of consultancies and publicity people who swarm in their wash throughout provincial England right now. No, I don't know for sure what it means. I think it means, places in a given area where the right initial investment has a good chance of attracting more investment - but that's a guess, it could well be wrong.
Very appropriate for "The Lemon Tree" but it was used by Gladys Knight,"Gladys Night and the Pips". Scotland the Breve? Another possibilty would be to use a shortened form af the name Aberdeen(in capitals) which would sound better than it reads. I propose ABER.
BTW Kirsten - you'd be very ill-advised to call your band anything like Seaton Park Madmen - that park, although a very nice place, has a very dubious history with respect to occasional assaults happening. Such a name would not go down at all well in The Granite City.
When is your gig anyway? - there are a few from this web site up in Aberdeen - perhaps they'd be interested in going along to hear you.
Best of luck,
Ron
There is a page somewhere out in the ether to find your true pirate name, depending on your proclivities, background, etc. There should be something similar for band names.
It is actually the hardest thing, finding the band name.
Ar Log, the Welsh band, explained their name meant "For Hire".
What's the Gaelic equivalent ?
Or for "Available for Money" ? Open to Offers ? For One Night Only ?
etc ?
After Ian MacLagen...
-"Three kids walk into a Pub..." - or whatever the Lemon Tree is...or:
-"The Aberdeen All-Stars"
-"Kirsten and the Krud"
-"Kirsten and the Pukes" - depending upon how you feel about your siblings, of course...
We tried to use the gaelic translation for "love of music" but to the best of our abilities it turned out to be something like Feane a cole (many apologies for spelling, grammer, etc) which sounded like a cough medicine. It lasted one concert.
You could always find a tune with a vaguely silly name and call yourselves after the tune, i.e. The Eels in the Sink (I got dibs on that, by the way), The Broken Pledges, Splendid Isolation, The Conundrums, The Pigeons on the Gate, Jenny's Chickens, The Bucks of Oranmore (how come no band, to my knowledge, of strapping young male musicians has called themselves that?)... the list is endless.

How To Choose A Band Name, Album Title, And Cover Picture
1 - Go to random wiki
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.
2 - Go to Random quotations:
Get random quote
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album (you'll need to refresh the page).
3 - Go to flickr and click on "explore the last seven days"
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.
Put it all together, that's your first album.
