The US cable channel Showtime is airing a documentary tonight (Friday) at 8 p.m. called "Bronx Dreams," about an Irish dance troupe from New York City that is comprised almost entirely of African-American and Latino children.
I saw them -- actually wound up writing a story on them for a local paper -- a few years ago and was blown away. Yes, most of their dancing was along the lines of "Riverdance"/Broadway stage spectacle and probably wouldn't pass muster at a competition, but it's just a great story, period full stop.

I don't have cable, so I'm going to have to rely on a friend's good graces to record it for me.
