I've not seen a copy, but am tempted to take out a subscription (£12 for 2 years, 3 issues a year).
What do you reckon?
The current issue has a cover story on Liz Doherty. http://www.fiddleon.co.uk/
I subscribe. It has some interesting articles and usually 2-3 tunes transcribed - this month has a couple of really nice Charlie McKerron tunes. Also has listings for workshops/courses which I've found useful
No, it looks pretty eclectic- tending now towards some of the up-and-coming English/Scottish names, maybe?
Some of the earlier issues had more Irish stuff (e.g Issue 2- MIchael Coleman), but most of those seem out of print now, according to the website. Anyone know where else to find back numbers?
Maybe they will supply back issues on request?
Yes lots on English and Scottish music but other stuff too. Good articals and reviews. Big Blazing Fiddle fans. Don't know if that's good or bad for you.
I help (in a minor way) to make FiddleOn happen. Although it's getting more "professional" looking, it's a "for the love of" production, no-one is making money from it.
It's small scale, it goes the way people want, so if there's something you'd like to see, back issues etc, get in touch via the website.
Them that are interested in Scottish music seem to be more interested in reading/writing about it than the Irish players, (and in paying a sub for the mag) and the magazine tends to reflect that. Chicken & egg to some degree.
I'm getting a good feel from this overall- seems to have its heart in the right place- as long as they keep Irish stuff in the mix. Maybe some knowledgeable people from here could submit articles?
BTW, there seem to be two groups called pretty much the same- The Blazing Fiddles in Ontario, and Blazin' Fiddles in Scotland.

I preferred the design before it's makeover. It had a kind of quaint parish newsletter kind of look.
