Fiddle Teachers In Galway and the Fleadh Nua

Fiddle Teachers In Galway and the Fleadh Nua

Hi everyone,

I am travelling to Ireland in May and I'm looking for a fiddle teacher that would be willing to give a few lessons (specifically looking at bowing techniques) in Galway around the week of the 10-17th. I'm also going to the Fleadh Nua in Ennis, and I've checked out the website but there's not alot of info on the masterclasses - does anyone have any details or has been to it in prior years?
Thanks in anticipation

There is Paul Bradley, who can be contacted via his website - http://www.paulbradleyviolins.ie.

Although the website still lists his contact address as in Galway city, I'm pretty sure he's closed his workshop there, and is now out in Moycullen.

My sister ,Eilish, lives between Galway and Ennis but works in Galway City centre. Our family are all known for our bowing style. (eeeeh! in a POSitive way !!)
Email me and I'll give you more details.

Brendan Larrissy was taught by my mother. He teaches too and has an excellent right wrist.

Doh! I forgot about Brendan, even though he lives just up the road from where I was. You can find his contact details via the KAM website - http://www.kamcollective.com/listitem.asp?itemid=273

Hi Peter - I used to know Eilish a bit from when I lived in Kinvara. She's a nice player. I do miss listening to the great sessions in Connolly's.
