Mostly jigs and hornpipes...on one episode (I have a12 year old cartoon-addicted son ;o) I heard Lannigan's Ball and Rickett's Hornpipe. Another featured the Liverpool.
Susie-Lee no the series is on Cable here, I bet
if you poke around you'll find it provided to US
Nato (EU) people in the UK and enormous
numbers in Ramstein FDR (Ger).
The main cartoon character Spongebob is a yellow
bath sponge, with legs arms and is dressed in square
clothes to match.
The nearest thing I can recall from Britain is the
Tate&Lyle Sugar Company's logo, if it is still
around and if you have seen that.
The signature song in the series runs like this
'Who lives in pinapple under the sea
Spongebob Squarepants
Porous and yellow, absorbent is he
Spongebob Squarepants'
I really don't know why people bother writing this drivel that no-one can understand. Not only that it's verging on the offensive. Could you two be less obtuse, please?
I now understand what my girlfriend's seven-year-old son was trying to impart to me the other day. Each Tuesday last year he fell asleep to the sound of sessions, and he's also a dedicated SpongeBob fan. He made the connection on his own--"that was a session tune!" I didn't hear it, but I have no doubt that it was.
Spongebob tunes what are they?
Spongebob tunes what are they?
I noticed a bunch of tunes on Spongebob, US kids
TV cartoon series, and though some of them sound
familiar is anyother sessioneer wondering too.
What are these tunes and has anyone figured them
out?

Re: Spongebob tunes what are they?
I'd like to know the source too. I'm not sure how many tunes are trad but they're cool. It's one cartoon soundtrack I'd actually buy and listen to!

English members will be delighted to hear there

Danny, I'm baffled as well. It reminds me of haiku written by a computer.

...or smoking Carroll's...heavily fortified with Lebanese hash.
Where've you been hiding, Trevor? We need some people round here with IQ's in treble figures these days as you may have noticed.

Re: Spongebob tunes what are they?
Yeah, I kind of gathered that, David (ie, the raw fingered one).
I also was taking a swipe in that direction, and I'm sorry, but you were in the way!
Danny.

Danny, I've been hiding in Clonmel for the last 8 days (no evidence of internet cafés). I'm starting a thread very soon about it.
