I'm looking for IRTRAD on iTunes. I particularly enjoy flute, accordian, fiddle, concertina stuff...simple...not the overly produced stuff. Dare I say pure drop?
dont know about itunes - i still buy those silver disc things but if they sell anything by the bothy band, lunasa, or danu it would be a good start. especially after hours by the bothy band - pure brilliance all the way !
I have purchased quite a bit of good stuff off iTunes. Here is a quick list of artist / album recommendations:
Across the Pond (featuring Kevin Griffin on Banjo)
John Whelan (accordion)
Tommy Peoples
Eileen Ivers
Paddy in the Smoke (various artists)
Rig the Jig
Frankie Gavin & Alec Finn
James Keane
The Irish Tradition
Kevin Burke
Really, if you're willing to do some digging about (the search engine isn't really geared towards we tradies) you can find quite a bit on iTunes these days
"The Humours Of Piping" album featuring Claire Byrne, Darragh Murphy,
Barry Kerr & Patrick Davey. I didn't know of it until I saw it on iTunes. -Irish piping with only enough accompaniment (often none but the drones) to augment the pipes. Very Nice!
What's your favorite iTunes music

I also forgot one other - a fiddle player from Brooklyn NY named
Sheila Maguire - she has a nice disc on iTunes as well.
