Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Last week's Kitchen at Fanore was great. It's incredible to hear something sounding so "local" on internet streaming. Really good to tune into the local culture as well as the music.

All the other trad programs on Clare FM are absolutely great, with a different "gear" and flavour each. Every night Mon - Fri a two hour program. You learn so much about the local scene as well. It's great.

New blog they got too? Regardless, listening now while I cook up breakfast for my lads. Always a good listen with these!

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Ya lucky SW, I would have to get up at 5am or something ridicless like that if I want to hear it live. No way. I have to download the next day...ah well, just as good really.

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Yes, great to have a new series with charming local appeal that lives up to the name of the series. Looking forward as well to a couple of broadcasts in a few weeks time to be recorded in Boston and New Jersey in Irish households with a Clare connection.

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

i love clare fm and listen to joan and claire religiously in archives each week. now i have discovered a soulmate in eoin o'neill through his sub gig on for joan hanrahan and i want to start listening to his sunday show but it's not archived and i can't seem to get it straight figuring the time to listen to it live on the Left Coast. i love tony macmahon and the c&w people and concertina people that that seem to float eoin's boat and i'd like to check out that sunday show too.....

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Just been listening to the Frank Custy session live - lovely, modest people, inclusive atmosphere, and standout playing from Bernie Whelan and Peter King.

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Hey Dubh, sorry for the false impression, I was checking out the recording too. If I caught it live I'd have to listen around lunchtime.

Whenever I get to it, it's great! Three thumbs up. I had to borrow one.

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

Great sounds, stuck in a snow storm and the music is good for the soul.

Re: New Clare FM Kitchen Sessions

And at the 3rd kitchen session in Kilmaley, they even gave a shout out to all the people at thesession.org who might be listening around the world.

Yes we are, and thanks for the great program.
