Uileann Pipes Teacher - Melbourne ? are there any?

Hi,
I've recently taken the plunge to buy a practice set and I'm a complete novice at the ripe old age of 28. Does anyone know of any uileann pipe teachers in Melbourne ?

regards,

Ben

Don't know if Francis O'Mara is still in Melbourne, or teaching, but you could ask. Contact details might be out of date. If so, I would contact Andy Rigby, he would probably know.
Francis O'Mara
Tel:Address: Box 1106, North Fitzroy, V 3068. Email: omara@alphalink.com.au.

Ben
I don't know the piper in this picture, but he has been at the Quiet Man in Flemington/Newmarket of a Sunday night whenever I've visited Melbourne.
Maybe he would know.

There's a piper around Melbourne by the name of Michael Parker, we don't see him anywhere near enough but if he teaches he'd be ideal, lovely style.

The piper in Bren's photo is Martin Docherty/Doherty??, originally from Ulster. I'm not sure if Martin teaches.

Incidentally I can tell you a true story about Martin's pipes. One night he went to get a drink and left his pipes on the table. Just as he returned his pipes started moving across the table "Look Martin," I said."The pipes ,the pipes are crawling"!
