As good as new keyless Hammy Hamilton flute for sale
As good as new keyless Hammy Hamilton flute for sale
Last year I purchased a keyless Hammy H flute for 750euro. I should have tried one of his flutes before ordering because I have tiny hands and found the holes large and gave up after a few attempts. I have been playing a very old keyed Alexander Lidl flute for 25 years which has particularly small holes. There is no comparison between the sound from the two flutes. Hammy's wins hands down but it is hard to teach an old dog new tricks.
I am hoping that someone out there would be interested in purchasing this barely used flute rather than join the waiting list (I was waiting 8 months for the flute). I play in a session in Dublin 8 and so if you live in Dublin and are interested you could try out the flute for the night and decide after playing if you would like to purchase. If you are not from Dublin then I will try to arrange some other means of proving that it is in perfect nick and this is a legitamate sale.
I am hoping to get pretty close to what I paid to put towards a flute I have ordered from Patrick Olwell though I don't expect to receive it for another 5 years (so i have some time to sell).
If anyone is interested or knows anyone who would might be interested please let me know. If you have any other ideas on how to go about selling this flute (I'd rather not sell via eBay - I've never used it and find it a bit scary) please let me know.
Re: As good as new keyless Hammy Hamilton flute for sale
I thought Lidl's only came to Ireland recently!! Seriously, know what you mean about the Hammy - it does have large holes. I have a Murray as well and it's that bit easier to seal the holes. Good luck with your sale!
Re: As good as new keyless Hammy Hamilton flute for sale
Yes it is still for sale. I haven't done a thing about selling it since I posted here last. You have reminded me to get my act together and post it on other forums.

Well I'd give yea any or indeed all our current ministers for a flute. Even a plastic one !

Hey, no wonder - plastic flutes are more durable than ministers and they keep the same tone even when the wind changes.
