I'm looking for a fiddler (or cellist) who'd like to collaborate/improvise with me on material comprising mainly slowish haunting traditional English/Irish/Scottish folksongs, plus the occasional composition. I'm a singer (recently in a folk band for 3 years, now singing acapella) wanting to try something different and interesting.
You're at the wrong end of the country. You should open up a branch in Newcastle, it's seething with fiddlers. Mind, you'll have to buy some Arctic clothing and be prepared to spend about twenty-four hours on the train. Oh, I forgot, you probably can't take out a mortgage on long-distance train fares any more: oh dear!..
