Man! I've seen musical instrument PORN before, but this is XXX. Don't look!!
"This section shows the stainless steel shoulder strap brackets and unique telescopic bellow straps, designed and made by myself in my workshop in Manchester. " Phoar!!
with the £uk in the state it's in, Briggs's boxes are getting competitive here with high grade Italian imports and I'd hazard a guess that they're far better than most
Even a workhorse Salterelle Nuage (french branded but Italian built) is now around £uk2,500
The specifications and 'visuals' of the Briggs are very impressive. Herself would kill me if I brought another box into the house. I pick up alot of whistles also since the quality and tone there are so variable. We were in Galway, and I found a nice feadog- three or four euro maybe...not terribly expensive. She just rolled her eyes.
I talked a bit about a new Martin guitar as my next investment, and Herself reminded me how hard she has worked to get the Darlings through college and hoped I could spend some money on projects in the house and travel that she would personally benefit from.

Re: accordion players note
Thanks MYBC - those are lovely looking machines - any idea where I can find a clip or audio of one being played?

But MBC- did a rich uncle pass and leave you a ton of money?
In the US those are very pricey.

Re: accordion players note
if your personal finances aren't transparent then one way to go is to get a new (cheap) distinctive accordion case.
Use this case every time you take a box out of the house
get your Briggs box delivered to your workplace and smuggle it into the house in your now familiar case.
Most Herselfs are too lazy to do baggage searches and too inattentive to notice which box you're playing
