Rathlin Ferry: that's a fine song, and well sung, Ptarm. Is that your wife singing with you?
This is also great inspiration for me to do some work on the hammered dulcimer standing in the corner gathering dust.

I know what you mean Bliss, I've heard lots of singers who didn't have what you might call a great voice, but boy could they sing a great song & put a song across, really well.
However, I've listened to so many singers over the years to know only too well that .......... I don't have a good voice ...... & I can't sing!
Still, it was fun trying.
Let's face it, we should all try everything { well, most things } at least once, don't you think!
Ptarmigan is featured on sound lantern.

Ptarm, how come you used to ask me to sing?
I read your reply on the site, everyone can sing, some people just have better voices than others. I don't have a good voice, but I can sing.
Bit like Frank Sinatra.
Good stuff. I must get up to the 'Castle some time soon.

I always enjoy Ptarmagin's sometimes offbeat contributions to this board. His playing is a joy to behold.
