Anyone have a ghoulish session or gig for tonight??

Anyone have a ghoulish session or gig for tonight??

I plan to sit on the front stoop with my whistles and rip a few tunes. Of course, accompanied by a bowl of candy of some sort for the young neighborhood ghouls and a wee taste for myself. I hope all of the rest of you have something more exciting planned.

The session did go a bit ghastly last night. :-)

The pub was decked out in spider webs and skeletal remains. And I had glow-in-the-dark rubber zombies on each of my fiddle pegs.

After working for twelve hours because I was filling in for someone who is one vacation, I was too tired to play music. Even though I work in a hospital, we are allowed to dress in costume on Halloween if we want to.
However, I decided that the most scary and frightening thing I could do was to disguise myself as myself so that's what I did.

I took the kids trick or treating. Gonna steal some candy, get zonked on sugar and play some fast reels. Nobody likes the Snickers of Three Musketeers, they're all mine.

I meant 'or', that sounds like some hereditary title, 'The Snickers and Snickeress of Three Musketeers. Harrumph.'

I don't know the policy of the NHS regarding staff who want to stalk the wards dressed as the Grim Reaper, Dracula, or better still as several giant black cockroaches.

They might get away with it on the pretext of multiculturalism, but any patient who put on such festive garb would probably be flung out neck and crop to perish.

The pub we played last night ended up full to bursting with very weird characters including but not limited to: Miss Piggy, a Peppermint Patty candy, Beaker from Sesame Street (after my time), Batman and Robin, animated TV people and countless ghouls, ghosts and devils. Our little closed session showed up impersonating musicians...with a pumpkin sitting in on fiddle for a while.

I did have a close encounter with a fiddling Grim Reaper, but persuaded him to spare me for one more year. His girl friend was a character from one of those unending horror movie series (Freddie?) and had to remove various sharp instruments before she could play properly.

Ian, that could be your new title, The Snicker of Three Musketeers which your oldest son could inherit after you die.
Maybe that will give you some laughs (or Snickers).
Whenever I see someone eating a Snickers bar, I am tempted to tease them about needing some laughs or Snickers.
Nicholas, several years, when I was working as the clerk in the telemetry/cardiology unit, on Halloween one of the nurses did dress up as Florence Night-In-Hell.
No, she didn't scare any of patients to death, fortunately.
