Movie title: does this story sound familiar to you?
Sometime in the last few years, I saw a movie somewhere and no matter how hard I try, I have been unsuccessful in searching for the title. Maybe you saw it and can provide a title for me.
It was about a young musician in China who enjoyed ITM so much he decided to visit Ireland, but first he began to teach himself Gaelic, thinking that's what everyone in Ireland speaks.
He finally arrives in Dublin and discovers that no one can understand him, except for one man from Clare who directs the Chinese boy there, where he plays sessions and gets along well, or something like that.

Lovely little film, and many thanks to all concerned for bringing it here. It's just over 13 minutes long and downloads quicker than the running time as a 52MB AVI file which plays well on Windows Media Player 11. Firefox seems to be the best downloader for this one.

I remember that film! I like the conspicuous closeup of the pint toward the end. Talk about promoting tourism...

I LMAO when he said that. I don't recall the Yu Ming listening or playing ITM though. I added the video to my MySpace page.
Good stuff!

Great stuff!
The end song is The Lark in the Morning?

Re: Movie title: does this story sound familiar to you?
Really nice little film, thanks for pointing it out.
It is, of course, the music that draws Yu Ming to Ireland, but that is one of the things that is left implicit in a 12 minute film!

Re: Movie title: does this story sound familiar to you?
Damnit, It's not The Lark in the Morning it's the Humours of Glendart... I always get those two mixed up, they go well together.

BTW, Firefox thinks it's a FLV file when it downloads, so just change the extension to AVI.
