How would you compare the Copley 3-piece derlin flute and the Dixon 3-piece derlin flute in terms of hole size, tone, and volume? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Everything about the Copley is better than the Dixon. It is a larger-holed flute than the Dixon, too... You are really talking about two VERY different flutes, quality and playability -wise.

I'd say get the Copley too. But I prefer slackwood over derlin.

Copley hands down. You'll get a good, solid flute.
