Darren Breslin is on You tube playing a great set of tunes after becoming the Senior Button Accordion All Ireland Champion 2008. He has a lovely style of playing and I look forward to hearing lots more from him in the future.

Brilliant! And now I've added some more tunes to that ever-growing list to learn. I really liked hearing what he was doing with his left hand, not an over-stated OOMPA that I've sometimes heard, nor an unregulated "push and hold any button".

Darren is certainly one of the finest young musicians in the country. I've enjoyed many a tune with him down at Derrygonnelly and hoping he's about again this year at the Eddie Duffy / Mick Hoy festival.

Darren is on this year's Comhaltas Tour of Ireland in October (see http://comhaltas.ie/blog/post/2008_irish_tour/) which visits 14 venues all over the country. He'll even be playing in Stormont for anyone who likes their reels and jigs in a historic setting!

Great playing when you can hear it.
He should hire a bad bodhran player, couldn't be worse than that foot stamping
