Hi my name is roisin and im new to 'the session'. I heard of this site from school and was told to join cos it was the place to be! im a button accordian player. I was at a session last nite and it was mad craic except for this other accordian player who really gets my nut cos he comes and dominates everything and plays tunes other people dont know! if anyone else has had experiences like this plz let me know

The kinda thing you're talking about, alas, does happen not infrequently. A very good ****** player from your part of the world, whose name I will not reveal as this person is known to a few other members here, used to do the same to us with (what everyone thought at the time) were obscure Donegal tunes - they were, in fact, from each successive Altan album, but because this person was a quick learner, the tunes would be learned and played before anyone else had time to buy the albums!
hi danny thanx for your reply. my name is not pronounced the real irish way but the other way if that makes sense! theres a girl in my class from school and hers is pronounced the other way and im always called by her name. it is sooo annonying and sometimes people do it for badness to annony me.
well breandan. yea i agree with you. i fink danny should name the accordian player. also the accordian player i was talkin about does exactly the same by learning tunes faster than we can get the music for them! but for badness, the session i was at on sunday nite i started off a jig and he was annonyed cos he had been looking for that tune for ages!
