Yep, a great album, but sadly long ago deleted by Shanachie and probably never likely to see the light of day again (even though Joe McK was the label's Ireland rep. for some time).
yep, LongNote, I met these guys back then.Joe Mck built that Taylor-style set to play in Eb because he loved the timbre of the old Touhey 78's. Joe McH was playing a gorgeous Leo Rowsome set that was easily coaxed into Eb. Great Band! Sweet Folks!

Re: Name of pipers
Those pipers are Joe McKenna (on the right) and Joe McHugh (on the left, with beard).

Re: Name of pipers
Also worthy of mention, he bearded fluter is the great Gerry O"Donnell. It looks and sounds like both Joes are playing pipes pitched in Eflat.

Re: Name of pipers
The band is the short-lived Sean Nua and the harper is Antoinette McKenna, sister of Mary Bergin.
I haven't seen Gerry O'Donnell around for a long time. Is he still playing?

Great CD - I intend posting some of the original compositions on this in the near future.

Re: Name of pipers
I believe there may be a few lying around at Shanachie even though technically maybe deleted, why not call the mail order and ask.
