Yes Leslie is kinda Obsessed on Scottish Music He even has a CD out now I hear = '' Leslie Craig Plays Scots'' ????
I like it, although I likely woud play it more Irish , Fair enough.
But if you like scots music - Wait to you hear the next one a
jig - Very scots style I think,,,But thank's for being Honest,,

gooseinthenettles, I wondered if perhaps you'd had a bad day, and so I looked through your most recent posts and discussion. Then I remembered that you were that guy that was really cranky and negative, even though you seemed new to the music.
I think it's a nice tune, and fits within the genre.
The main features in his playing that might be perceived as Scots are:
1. his choice of instrument
2. his liberal use of basses and chords
3. the big final chord - very RSCDS
But although they are all more readily assciated with Scots than Irish music, I don't think they automatically make it sound Scots.
Yeah - gooseinthenettles was the one who couldnt tell that a scottish fiddler was playing a scottish reel, and that it was an irish reel which he was playing 'wrong' and then his pearl of wisdom was that said scottish fiddle player 'should listen to coleman' as he is the only one. Hahahaaha. If it wasnt so hilarious it would probably be quite sad really. Quite obvious that he/she hasnt a clue about tunes.
gooseinthenettles. I have absoulutely no doubt that you havent got a clue, all I need to do is read the posts on that chris duncan thread, Its hilarious - and it just screams that you dont have a clue. I was brought up in a trad house -my dad plays, my grandad and now I do. What about you? You have no idea do you....tut tut
"Guitars,Bouzuki and Bodhran have destroyed Irish Music.
And I dont care if the Bouziki cases are hand stitched leather.
Someone(I think it was Seamus Ennis)when asked, what is the bodhran best played with?He replied, with a feather and if
you cant find one, a stanley knife would do.
God save all Goat" gooseinthenettles - haaahaaa haaa - need I say more. News flash goosey - Michael coleman is dead
PS - I cant read abcs - but Im sure if you look waltzing matilda up on the web you can find it.
I know fiddle4u knows his stuff. Its you that doesnt seem to. I mean -how can you comment on a tunes sounding scottish when you couldnt even tell that a scottish fiddle player was playing a scottish reel?
Why do you want to know? Whats it to you? Not that its any of your business but I play fiddle. And I tell you this for free, I'd rather have a good bodhran/bouzki player around than some hack who cant play be it fiddle, box or whatever.
