I am not sure if this came through... likely not as it is allowing me to post again.... but pardon if it's in 2X.
I have been asked by a few people if they know of any wi-fi spots in East Durham or surroundings, so thought to ask here... I do know Oak Hill Kitchen has a connection. I just looked up Cairo and wi-fi and found that the McDonalds has it, for those of you travelling with laptops:
McDonald's
Highway 32 & Highway 23
Cairo 12413
Anywhere else...has anyone found a connection in past years?
Any other motels, pubs etc.
Anyway.... heading up there tomorrow for a week of major music fun, there's still time to sign on too BTW.... don't miss it if you can possibly make it!
There was a new cafe, last year, that had a connection. I think it's across from the Shamrock House in a large-ish white building that has some parking in front and a larger lot in back. I looked in last year's info packet and didn't find it listed among the eateries.
yes, the cafe absolutely had it... it is right next door to the inn at the Shamrock House... They also have or at least had one of the absolute best sandwiches I have ever had in my 40 years, a chicken cordon bleu on a bun, and to die for.
very friendly young women running the cafe... support them if you are up there next week... sniff, sniff, i will not be this year.
Hi No frets...... hope to cross paths, likely if we both drag laptops! I am still undecided and wonder if I really will use it. Will decide in the very next hour and be off.
Thanks Gary.... hope to catch a few tunes with you! I have the new Alan Morrisroe Old Melodeon tunes CD ready as a home made version, have not had time to deal with the proper version yet, you ought to hear this guy! Will have a few copies at CIAW Don't have a tune list yet, but he says all the names pretty much... it's a live concert we did in June. He's also hysterically funny and doesn't realize it!

Re: Catskills Arts Week... Wi-fi anywhere?
Gavin's is supposed to have wi-fi, but I've never tried it. Same for the Catskill Motor Court Motel, but that's a good 15 minute drive away.
