I'M arriving at Shannon airport this friday at 8pm from Bristol for the Willie clancy 2008 festival. Anyone wish to share a taxi to Miltown Malbay to cut costs same evening? Maybe even bus to Ennis and taxi form there to miltown?
The first bus you'll be able to catch is the 8.55pm which'll cost you €6 or so to get to Ennis and drop you there 30 minutes later. A taxi from Shannon to Ennis will be at least €30 and you can expect to pay double that to get to Miltown. Even if you were to stay overnight in Ennis you'd still have to wait until mid-afternoon for the first bus to Miltown.
A good bet would be to contact an Ennis-based taxi company such as Swift Cab - http://www.swiftcab.com - to see how much the trip from Shannon would cost or to book a taxi from Ennis to Miltown on the Friday night.
I get into Shannon at 19:25. I *might* be up for sharing a taxi to Miltown if I can arrange accommodation for that night.
Before I saw your message my plan was to get the Citylink to Galway in order to allow me to look in to Tom Cussen's place before heading down to Miltown.
Let me know what you decide to do & i might pitch in.

On the same subject, I'm arriving into Shannon after 11 on Wednesday night. I'll be getting a cab - no other way to get to Miltown at that time. If anyone happens to be there at the same time I'll be happy to share.
Neil and others,
Thanks for your replies and offers! I've struck lucky and just managed to get a lift with three people from Bristol hiring a car....see you there!
Mark
Apropos of nothing, except that I've recently seen some videos from years past, I wish that I could be there with you folks. I hope that everyone has a WONDERFUL time!
OK, back to the logistics...
Peace,
Tom
