Read a lovely feature on Mick Quinn Mullaghbawn Co Armagh traditional singer and storyteller in Irish Times July 25th. Is he any relation to Martin Quinn box player (married to Angelina Carbery) who seems to have roots in that area?
Mick Quinn is Martin Quinn's uncle. He came out to the U.S. a year ago to participate in the Smithsonian Folk Life Festival in the Northern Ireland group. He was wonderful as both a singer and storyteller.
Would love to have been a fly on the wall in the kitchen when Roisin Ingle was interviewing Micil Ned,wonder who enjoyed who the most? Hope he makes it to Milltown Malbay missed him there last year

Micil Ned is a living legend. Him and John Kennedy, both in their 80's out in DC last summer was a memory I will never forget.
