I was in last friday actually. but what a racket, it's too many noisy punters at the weekend. But it can also be a bloody racket tuesdays, though not due to punters.
So the Bucks is all you ever play there? I mean, sure it's a grand tune, and it contains all you ever need to know to play diddley music, but don't you think you might be taking this "there are too many bloody tunes" thing a bit far, Michael?
Not at all Will, of course there are too many bloody tunes. As a matter of fact, just recently I've finally managed to persuade my mates to never play it in singles ever again.
... (well, actually, I learned it from a finbar record when I was a kid, a good few years befor I'd ever heard of Sandy Bell's. but it's true that he played there in the sixties a lot when he lived in Edinburgh. And, if I may be allowed a shameless name drop, I have played it with him in Bell's ... doubles of course .... and bloody fast .... because he can ....)
Tune from Sandy Bell's
Tune from Sandy Bell's
Can anyone tell me the name of the tune in this short clip?
Many thanks

So, which one in the video is Michael?

Re: Tune from Sandy Bell's
Probably none, as Friday isn't his usual night.

Re: Tune from Sandy Bell's
Michael is in the Tuesday one, along with the old dear on the bodhran. I can see where he is coming from.

Re: Tune from Sandy Bell's
ahh, bliss, I always figured that the bodhran player in that clip was you visiting Edinburgh. That's the way I picture you, at least

Re: Tune from Sandy Bell's
This is a better one, your more average Tuesday. (and by a strange coincidence, the same tune as the other one)

Re: Tune from Sandy Bell's
Even JfiddlerH has played (music) with Finbar.
Finbar was a bit in awe of him when he realised that JfiddlerH played in MY outfit.
