Hi,
I am looking for a tweaked Generation D nickel whistle. I'm told Jerry Freeman's and Vargas.com whistles are pretty good. However I have sent e-mails to both and can't seem to get a reply. Any ideas?
Great commercial idea.. buy 100 Generation whistles, put them in boxes marked "hand tweaked by expert tweakers" and flog them for three times the price...
But you still can do it yourself. Making a "Gen" tuneable just involves some glue removal and that is the easy part. Cleaning the bits of extra plastic in the wind way is also pretty easy. The (slightly) harder part is fixing the wind blade and voice window. I've found it takes patience and careful experimantation.
Anyway, it sounds like you found your solution. Best of luck.

If you are in the UK, use this address instead of the one above. It doesn't work with the /shop

Re: Looking for a tweaked Generation whistle
Thanks for the replies everyone. I managed to get in touch directly with Jerry Freeman on Chiff and Fipple and have just ordered a whistle from him.

Re: Looking for a tweaked Generation whistle
Not quite that simple I'm afraid as the standard Generation becomes tunable when tweaked by Jerry Freeman.
