Old Grey or not?

Old Grey or not?

Is this guy playing an old Grey Paolo Soprani because unless my eyes deceive me it's very dark in colour. The grille makes it look like a Paolo Soprani anyway i could be wrong.

Re: Old Grey or not?

Looks to me like an old grey.Soprani made "greys" in many different shades.Donal Murphy has a black one so its not uncommon for them to be that colour.

Re: Old Grey or not?

they did come in black during a certain interval, and rumor has it the black ones were nowhere near the quality, in both sound and responsiveness/playability, as the greys and certain choice reds.

Re: Old Grey or not?

Can't speak to the original question since our internet connection doesn't let me watch youtube....

But in regard to the last comment .... I have owned a few nice old Paolo Sopranis, and the black ones can be excellent.

Re: Old Grey or not?

Hey dinn2 i just looked at your profile and you switched from B/C to C#/D? What were you thinking that's like re-writing the bible in my books. Do you find the C#/D system easier then or what? And can you play both systems no bother?

Re: Old Grey or not?

ah....good oul C#/D....in my opinion its the sh*t!!Takes a while to get used to but when you do its class.Much more bite in the music.....I don'y play B/C anymore because it cant compare to C#/D in my books.
