It seems to me that The Session website has been much slower to respond lately. Has anybody else noticed this, or it is my high speed connection. Just wondering!
Yeah I was going to mention the same thing. Recently it's taken sometimes 20 or 30 seconds to download a page, and I have really fast broadband. I think maybe it's because the website is weighed down with all the crap people post on here!
And I thought it was my poor old comp' finally giving up the ghost! I hope it doesn't mean poor old J is going to have to revamp the whole site - possibly something to do with all this spam coming through? It's a pity more of this creative genius isn't spent on solving more pressing problems for the world as a whole...
When the site went down for a few hours a couple weeks ago, it was spitting out errors that suggested that the disks on the server were full. That got sorted out, but I have noticed the lag time pretty much constantly since then. It's acting like the databases are getting too big, and need to be re-indexed, or optimized. Unfortunately, Jeremy doesn't make money off of this site, so it can't be real high on his priority list to spend a bunch of time trying to diagnose and fix...
Uh-oh, sounds like we need to hold an e-telethon. Time to break out Ace Reporter Buster Bodhran from retirement? He'd be happy to add his usual color commentary, I'm sure.

Re: Slow Reponse Time
Same thing happening with me. I also thought it was my connection.
It´s happened before and it usually gets back on the rails in a few days.

Yeah, or just get everybody to send him a couple quid through the "Make a Donation" link... I try to do that occasionally...
