I accidently selected "select all" and move my itunes library to the trash. Is there an easy way to undo this or do I have to move each file one at a time?
so the actual music files are in the trash? if that's the case then open the trash, change the view to list, click the first file, scroll to the bottom, then hold down the shift button down and click the last file, then click and drag the whole list into your itunes folder. If you just deleted the library, then here are instructions for re-creating it:
Did you move the tunes to the trash or just the library file? If the tunes are still in your "iTunes" directory you should be able to shut down and restart iTunes and it will rebuild the library. If you deleted the actual tunes, well, I'm Mac user so you're on your own. Actually, can't you select all the files you want to recover in the Recycle Bin, right mouse click and choose "Restore?" I can't imagine Windows would force you to do one file at a time... Then again there are reasons I'm a Mac user
I didn't find it either - must be a pc thing. you can just copy the files (under edit) then navigate to your music folder, itunes, itunes music, paste the items, and voila. then make yourself a backup!
weird - could have copied them some place on your harddrive already? try selected just one of the files in the trash and searching for it to see if it's in some other location. If you find it, then try one at the end of the list to make sure everything's there. If you don't find it, you could try selecting just part of the files in the trash and move them to your harddrive a chunk at a time - maybe the entire library is too big for the memory.
Go To .. My Computer/MyDocuments/ My Music/ iTunes / iTunes Music and then see if the sound files are still there... That's probably why there's no room on your hard drive to copy again.. you probably just deleted the tune titles from the itunes database, not the actual sound files.... jif they are there, you just drag them back into the itunes libarary window, so itunes 'knows' where the sound files are. ...the files will stay where they are, but iTunes will add them to its database again....
Somehow when I imported the music back into itunes a lot of information was lost, plus the issue with disk space so I decided to delete everything and start over.I have CDs, but I lost ClareFM podcasts! Too bad about that. I have some work to do now....

Re: Retrieving itunes library from trash
Select the first one, then hold shift and select the last one. Then click "restore the selected items" in the top left corner. Should work.
