Richmond, North Yorkshire, UK - Flute teacher

Richmond, North Yorkshire, UK - Flute teacher

I'm in Richmond from 8th of July on and I'd love to take some lessons on the flute. Does anybody know a flute teacher in the area?
I'm a quite advanced player and would like to focus on developing a nice style and advanced ornamentation.

Thanks!

Well sg whilst its a very scenic Historical place ,bit of a dead zone for Irish music if you have transport either you head north to the Durham Newcastle area or south to Leeds Sheffield .
Drop us an email if you want more information

Go hiking in Coverdale and Swaledale and be inspired by the scenery :-)
When in Rome do as the Romans..you can have a lot of fun with musicians from the area even if they're not brilliant flute players:

Not quite up-to-date, but possibly helpful.

You could always try meeting Cedric...

If you are female, attractive and single, you might consider going to Gainford to see CEDRIC.

Gainford is a tranquil village between Darlington and Barnard Castle, best known for being inhabited by Cedric.

Ask anyone where Cedric lives, and you will be told. Alternatively, walk up and down crying,

"CEDRIC! I'M FEMALE, ATTRACTIVE AND SINGLE, AND I'VE COME TO SEE YOU!"

- and out he'll come like a cheetah.

But if you're none of these things, or only one or two of them, you and he might still strike up a very agreeable acquaintance.

(Conversely, if you're all of them, rest assured you'll be as safe as you wish to be.)

Cedric is a seasoned ITM flute player who knows a lot about the workings of single-system flutes, especially ones he made out of stolen college plumbing. He also knows a lot about all sorts of unspeakable animals. Do not let him put their spraints in your coffee.

Richmond and Swaledale are in a particularly beautiful part of England. Explore the hills and villages as chance allows. Richmond may have a folk club - there are bound to be folkie types there. Trad-heads, though, I wouldn't know: they are rather different worlds, though they can intersect.
