Phew, just left the opening night, the quiet one to ease you in nicely. Just as good as every year and loads to come, Pat McManus, Seamie O'Dowd, Julian Sas, Gavin Dean, Eamon McCormick, Barry Barnes...... And a host of others. My wristband says "Say no to drugs" what do they mean? I could get a headache and have to refuse aspirin, get a bit of hayfever and have to turn down the decongestent, barmy, if you ask me!
Yes, me. I'll be hammerin' out those riddim & blues like a man possessed. Guitars screeching in the afternoon sun, amps melting with the intensity, stoners swaying in the breeze, tents burnt in sacrifice, the wafting aroma of strange cigarettes, sure beats sitting in some darkened pub corner playing drowsy maggie, don't you think?
