Puck Fair - Irish group

Puck Fair - Irish group

Now this band wasn't the most trad of bands, but it sure wasn't a muckle rabble like KIla. Featured a fellah called Brian Dunning on flute and Tommy Hayes was the percussionist, I can't remember the other guys. There was this most amazing jaw harp intro that predated the rave scene and a throb of a bodhran jamming with its own echo. Some of the same people surfaced and Tommy's solo album An Ras in 1987. What I really want to know is, is it possible to get Puck Fair on cd with said musicians.

They're on myspace.com. Maybe you could send a message to Brian through their page to ask him.

Re: Puck Fair - Irish group

the original guitar player was Mícheál Ó Domhnaill
at the moment from the original line up left only Brian
Hayes was replaced by Robbie Harris
and Mícheál (RIP) by Sean Whelan - they were playing on Mícheál's tribute last year at Vickar St.
The original CD is almost imposible to get. Sometimes you may find it on ebay or amazon - people trying to sell their old copies. Robbie told me that he bought his copy something like that.
Anyway. New Puck Fair album is ready and soon be in shops.
I know that I just can't wait for it.
