No, it's not the silver vale. To be honest, i started humming it today as part of a whole tune. Wanted to see if anyone recognised the bars before i went and transcribed the whole tune on Abc format. Not sure if they sound familiar from another tune r just that i hummed it and played it so much that it got wedged deep in my memory

It sounds like it 'could' be familiar to me. Is the key A minor, A dorian, D mixolydian or something else? Do you know the rest of the tune?
