I'd like to request that composed tunes have the author's name placed in the ABC notation. The info can be placed just before the key of the tune. The correct way to add it in is:
C:(insert composer's name here)
I've found that when reading the comments to a tune I often find the composer's name there. And this information doesn't appear on the sheetmusic page so if one were to copy just the sheetmusic or just the ABC the composer's name would never be seen.
When a tune is submitted, you don't give any headers. You just give the body of the ABC notation. The headers are generated automatically based on a series of questions (about the key, time signature, etc.).
The comments are an integral part of every tune listed at The Session. I think that's the best place for important information like adding who, if anybody, composed the tune.
