Workshops in Dublin this year

Workshops in Dublin this year

Are there any workshops in Dublin this year? I'd be interested in attending one for flute and my brother for button accordion. I know the Skerries Traditional Music Festival is on next weekend and it would be great if I could go up but registration is at 9.30am and a bus journey out there takes ages so I would probably not make it out on time.

I'm particularly interested in Connaught and Ulster styles but don't let that deter from recommending an event.

You could drop into the Cobblestone on a Saturday afternoon around 5.00 p.m. Tara Diamond sometimes give a flute workshop depending if room is available.

Re: Workshops in Dublin this year

why not try the free lessons that take place in the culturann? in Monkstown, I went last year, I was a year playing the fiddle and they helped me a lot, although I did go before with my flute and found them awful! I think its the final exams for teachers, last year the fiddle teachers were top class especially Eamonn Ryan from Tipperary, I am sure that was his name!
