I went to a Catherine McEvoy gigg in the Roscommon Arts Centre last night...phenomenal flute player. I heard she has a new CD out anyone hear it or wat its like?
Why didn't you buy it last night at the gig? You too cheap, you waiting for your little friend to buy it so you can burn a copy? I heard it though! You want me to tell you what I think of it? No I won't because if you heard her playing "phenomenally" last night then you should probably assume that the CD is phenomenal too!! You could have even had her sign it, with love to ThePureDrop, the cheapest little bugger in town!!!!
What an enlightening post Richard. You seem like a great guy. I couldn't buy the CD because I had to leave the gig early - 5 mins before the end - due to personal reasons.
If you have nothing to contribute to the discussion I suggest you do not post anything at all.
From your last comment, I can see you're obsessed with sodomy. Now get back to it.
gigg is gig! wat is what! Lets not get testical about spelling and grammar! You obviously need to know what other people think of the music on the CD because either:
1. you can't make up your own mind musically
2. you're on the CD and haven't recieved sufficient praise
I was at the GIGG last night too and WAT I noticed was that the CDs were on sale before the show was over. You should have bought one!
Back to the original topic, she might have mentioned his brother John McEvoy and John Wynne's duet recording. I wouldn't be surprised if she's really releasing a new solo recording, though.
Catherine's new cd is called The Home Ruler (CICD172 )and should be available soon, if not already. If it's anything like as good as her previous releases it should be excellent.
I contributed the name and catalogue number of the CD in response to what was a simple enough request. I admit I was reluctant to due to the nature of the comments already on this thread. I very rarely contribute anything unless I can help out but the standard of comments on this board has been steadily declining, particularly recently. I hope things improve as this board has been a very valuable tool for many of us over the years. There are a great many "old faces" who don't contribute anymore , I don't blame them.
I suppose because you're distant from these other posts, people exploit the opportunity of a wind-up or argument knowing the person on the receiving end will be still annoyed. Anyway, it's irrelevant really.
Very happy to hear Catherine has a new CD out. I was listening to the Flute Players of Roscommon CD yesterday, which she has contributed a few tracks on, and was just thinking how nice it would be to have another album from her. Looks like my prayers have been answered. What a solid player she is!
Delighted to see Catherine has a new cd, I think shes great, I saw her play on the horsehair, wind and reeds tour, but I am getting fed up of this site and the constant crap people write!
There will be a CD launch night up at the Catskills Irish Arts Week for Catherine's Cd sometime during the week. It should be extra special as her brother John is attending also this year along with John Wynne, whose duet CD will also be recognized there in East Durham.

Homophobia is oftens times a good inclination of ones own repressed homosexual preferences. It's okay. Nobody will judge you!

I think it's time you got back to your 2nd class English homework:
'oftens times' is 'oftentimes'. 'ones own' is 'one's own'.
Enjoy your life as a plumber/bin-man/McDonald's Manager.

Reading richard white's comments make me wonder why the younger generation get the flack for being uncivil...

Re: Catherine McEvoy New CD
If everyone leaves the site the Richard's of this world will win. All it takes for evil to prosper is for good men to do nothing and all that.
So Richard, aptly named, launches an attack on someone. Simply point out the error of his ways, and continue to post.
If you leave, there will only be the Richard's left.
I love a good old argument, heated and all, but personal attacks are a bit much.
Unfortunately many left the site because some people did not agree with them.
