Veronica was my first teacher, is she still around? She also went by Ronnie Gilbert - if anyone has any contact info I'd really love to drop her a line.
Hi Mad.... do you mean perhaps she went by Ronnie "Gebert", close enough to mistake for Gilbert. Email me a phone # off group and i will send your info to her....
irisnevins@verizon.net
She sure is still around and going strong... she has a CD out too, recorded live when she led one of our session at IAANJ in Rockaway NJ last June. Great CD you can get at CD Baby.... Noirin.... have you got a link for that as well?
You're right, it is Gebert, I never saw it in writing & my ear twisted it to Gilbert. She used to live in Madison, NJ when I new her - she was a a very kind woman.
Yes that is her.... please email with your real name and contact infor and I will give it to her.
Part of the fun of this book too is all the old friends she is reconnecting with. Thus far we have heard from two other Morrison students that were in that photo on the cover. Anyway I am sure she would love to hear from you!
Hi Kevin..... I KNEW you'd love this one.... Yes, this book may even make Foxtrots acceptable at a session! First the eyerolls, then whip out a xerox of that page and say...SEE? Morrison did it!
