Has anyone ever seen/ played an F/Bb Paolo Soprani? I know Ray Johnson, player here in Newfoundland, has one, and he claims its a 4 voice (MMMM), just wondering if anyone knows of any ever made with 4 middle reeds?
Mine is a 2 -voice (MM). The F row is pretty low, so I could see that the bassoon reeds (low octave) might not be as desirable in those keys....maybe that is why it was made in (or subsequently put into) that voicing.
