Well I spend half my time in Brussels (only got to the James Joyce session once though). However an Irish family and some of their friends are coming over after Willie Clancy week. There will be at least two fiddle players, one flute/whistle player and a bodhran player. Mainly Irish trad with a little bit of folk guitar/singing (3 girls in 3 part harmonies - very nice!). I've checked out the sessions that exist. Where might we be welcome to set-up a one off session or two (as we will be Brussels based - it could be anywhere in Belgium for daytime sessions and Brussels for evening sessions) & does anyone want to join us?
This family are very talented (all Ireland champs etc) but love anyone of any ability joining in and I'm sure they would love to meet some locals (Belgian or expat). They also love playing so somehow I've got to organise back to back sessions for the duration more or less. Suggestions and volunteers gratefully received ...
